On December 31st, I had the privilege of taking the Oath of Office as administered by City Clerk, Mary Winter, to serve as the Puyallup City Council at-large member for a four year term of service. It was a beautiful day combined with a surreal moment to humbly reflect on the call to serve our city in a manner that will honor and advance the overall well being of our citizens.

Our first Council meeting is Tuesday, January 5th at 6:30pm located on the 5th floor of the Puyallup City Hall. The address is 333 South Meridian Street.

I would like to personally invite all Puyallup citizens to join us and participate in the democratic process of our local city government. As we enter into this new year and new chapter of our city, you bring an important perspective that will help us shape the future of our city. Please consider sharing your vision and ideas by speaking during “Citizens Comments” near the start of every council meeting.

May 2016 bring increased joy, peace and a strong sense of rich community relationships. – Dean Johnson
